.The Swallows had a fantastic Michaelmas term, winning 3/5 of our BUCS league games and drawing one! This puts us at second in the league with our eyes on the number 1 spot by the end of the season!
We started off the season with an incredibly high intensity game against O*ford, drawing 40-40; after having had only one training session together as a team at this stage, it was a testament to the strength of the Swallows looking ahead to the rest of the season. Following this we had several strong wins, a particular highlight being our game against Bedfordshire 2s as we scored 100 goals to their 13.
Following our BUCS league promotion last year, it has been great to see a step up in the standard of netball and play some very strong teams – a hard fought loss to O*ford in the first stage of the Conference Cup was a huge learning curve for us. Following on from this, we have worked extremely hard as a team to pinpoint where our game could improve, and the last few weeks of term has seen us get stronger and stronger as a team. We have also been incredibly lucky to have our new coach Jo, who always offers amazing advice and encouragement!
