From the 2nd to 4th May 2020, CULNC collectively ran 2,000km in 10 days in order to raise money for Cambridge Women’s Aid.

This was in light of the very serious repercussions for people at risk of domestic abuse during the national lockdown. In the first 3 weeks of lockdown, calls to the National Domestic Abuse helpline rose by 49%.

CULNC is proud to have raised over £4,000 over the course of the 10 days. We originally aimed to run 1,00km but after smashing this goal after only 5 days, we had to double the distance! CULNC members showed brilliant determination and positivity, enabling us to remain a community despite being spread across the country.

We hope the money raised will continue to support the vital work that Cambridge Women’s Aid carries out, such as free information, advice and online advice, in addition to support groups and dedicated services for children.
