Trialling / FAQs
Below, you can read the answers to some of our frequently asked questions (FAQ/FAQs).
- When/where are trials?
- More details about the trials for the 2009-10 season will be available soon. More information will also be available at the CUSU Societies' Fair in Michaelmas term 2009.
- Who can trial?
- Any enthusiastic netball player as a member of the university is eligible to trial. There is no minimum requirement for trialists, however as a guide several of our players are county standard and most have usually played 1st team school level.
- What level of commitment is there?
- All club members are expected to attend all three of the weekly training sessions and be present for BUSA matches on Wednesday afternoons. We appreciate that this can result in academic clashes however, all individual attempts should be made to ensure there is no detrimental effect to academic performance.
- What is the Blues status of netball?
- Netball is a Full Blue sport. Seven Full Blues are awarded to the starting line up of the 1st team in the Varsity match. Substitutes and all 2nd team players are awarded University Colours, both of which entitles players to Osprey membership.
